Mighty Hitters/jr. sluggers
These programs teach the basics of baseball in
a fun, safe environment with no standing around. Throwing, catching, hitting, and elding will be taught as well as running the bases and rules of the game. Games will be played based on par- ticipation. Players should bring their own gloves.
Volleyball
Kids’ Volleyball Class
Multi-Purpose Center (West Gym)
This class will serve as an introduction to the game of volleyball played with a net at an age-appropriate height. Participants will work on the basic funda- mentals of the game – bumping, setting, passing, and serving. This fun and exciting class will be one to remember for your young one.

A and B will be held indoors at the Multi-Purpose Center. Session C will be held at the Inwood
Park Tennis Courts.

women’s Volleyball league
Matches consist of three games, with each game counting in the standings. Awards will be given to the top two nishers in each league. League is limited to the rst 10 teams to sign-up. All teams will play a guaranteed 10 games.

Men and women –come out and show ‘em what you got in our mixed volleyball league. Competitive and recreational divisions will be o ered. Sign up for your respective league. Please note: returning teams may be required to move divisions based on previous season’s record. Awards will be given to end of season tournament champion and runner up. This class is the next level up from the Beginning Tennis program. Students must know the basic forehand and backhand techniques and be able to display them. Students must be able to use the basic skills of the serve. Session A and B will be held in the Multi-Purpose Center Gymnasium. Session C will be held at the Inwood Park Tennis Courts.

Adult Summer Softball
The Joliet Park District offers men’s, women’s, and mixed leagues ranging from recreational to competitive levels of play. USSSA rules apply with a few additional house rules.
2016 league participants have priority registration (February 1 – 28). New teams may register on a rst come, rst served basis beginning March 1. Registration ends on April 9.
Information packets will be mailed out to returning teams on January 16. New teams can pick up packets at 3000 W. Jefferson St. beginning January 19. For more information, call the Joliet Park District at 815-741-7275 ext. 170 or send an email to jbarry@jolietpark.org.
