Joliet Park District Run3 Circuit
RUN3 2017
The Joliet Park District hosts 3 running events each year and offers loyalty benefits to those who participate in the Run3 circuit. Both the Sundowner and Red Eye courses are new and improved for 2017! Runners who register for the 2017 Run3 circuit
will receive a Run3 promotional item. Run3 sponsor logos will be included on the item that participants receive. In addition, Run3 sponsor logos will be included on the race bags for each of the 3 running events.
ROCKDALE RAMBLIN’ RUN 10K – APRIL 29, 2017
This popular event, known as the “Toughest 10k in the Midwest,” averages over 600 runners every year. Runners look forward to the USATF/CARA certified course on the hilly streets of Rockdale and Joliet. The custom hooded sweatshirt and dog tag finisher’s medal have become favorites among the runners.
SUNDOWNER 5K – JULY 20, 2017 NEW & IMPROVED COURSE
Now entering its 17th year, the Sundowner 5k is a staple for many Joliet-area runners. The beautiful Pilcher Park course has been redesigned for 2017. This family-friendly event also includes kids’ races and a post-race cookout in the park pavilion. All runners receive a custom shirt and finisher’s medal.
RED EYE 5K – NOVEMBER 12, 2017 NEW SHORTER COURSE
Back by popular demand and featuring a complete redesign of the course, this cross-country-style 5k will begin and end at
ati Field at Joliet Memorial Stadium and run through Inwood Golf Course. Runners will receive custom apparel and a finisher’s medal, and the post-race party will feature the always popular Bloody Mary breakfast.
