 THE JOURNEY OF
AARON SHAWN JOHNSON
   A TIME TO BE BORN
As heaven smiled, Aaron Shawn Johnson was born on Saturday, December 9, 1972, at 6:32 p.m.—a divine gift and the third of four children. Aaron was born to the late Robert Alfred Johnson of Panther Burn, Mississippi, and Janie Davis Johnson of Utica, Mississippi. Wrapped in the embrace of family and grace, his arrival was a blessing—anointed with purpose and light, touching hearts with a joy only heaven could send. As a child, Aaron learned to play the piano, filling his home with the gentle melodies of his spirit.
A TIME TO PLANT
Aaron accepted Christ as his personal Lord and Savior and was baptized at an early age at his family’s home church; Jones Chapel in Wayside, Mississippi, under the guidance of Reverend A.B. Jackson. Throughout his adult life, Aaron was a servant in any ministry he attended. But his heart went to Rabboni Kingdom Church International, where he served for over five years and embraced his calling as a Pastor under the oversight of Apostle Dwyane Lefall. Most recently, Aaron united with The Word and Worship Church, led by Pastor Ted Scott, Jr., where he continued to worship and serve until his passing. Aaron was a devoted worshipper, deeply passionate about his faith. He found immense joy in singing hymns, and participating in any musical activity that celebrated and honored God. Whether he was leading a congregation in worship or listening to soothing melodies in quiet moments of reflection, his love for music served as a powerful expression of his devotion.
Education:
Aaron was blessed with a curious mind and a passion for knowledge that guided his journey. After graduating from Riverside High School, he pursued further education at Delta Community College and Southern University at Shreveport, earning a degree as a medical lab technician. His unwavering love for learning inspired him to explore various fields, from ministry to income tax, insurance agent, to sound and media and even a teacher, as he sought to grow in wisdom and understanding both academically and spiritually.
Aaron married Rachel in holy matrimony on June 29, 2002. New Orleans held a cherished place in their hearts, serving as the backdrop for their honeymoon in their first year together, and years later, it became the setting for the quiet conclusion of their journey. He was a loving, devoted, and proud father to three children: Coby, Janie, and Joseph, who were his greatest pride and joy. As a business owner and family man, Aaron embodied care and commitment, pouring his passion into serving others and helping those in need. He was a friend, brother, and confidante—someone you could lean on. He found peace on the open road during quiet motorcycle rides that cleared his mind. With a bright smile and a warm personality, Aaron was a steadfast rock for many, always ready to help anyone in need. He had the remarkable ability to make friends easily and offered genuine love, making him someone truly inspirational and easy to love.
A TIME TO DIE
Aaron entered into eternal rest on Monday, July 7, 2025, at the tender age of 52, leaving behind a legacy steeped in unwavering love, quiet strength, and heartfelt kindness. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Alfred Johnson, brother-in-love; Juan
