HAPPENINGS AROUND THE HILL
Shreveport Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., worshipped at PHBC on 5/5/24 to celebrate “May Week Honoring High School Seniors”. The sorority awarded 10, $1,000 - $10,000 scholarships to seniors. PHBC members who are also Delta Sorority members include, First Lady Brenda Reid, Karla A McCulloch, Dr. Gwendolyn White, Sherri Kelly Barber, Teresa O Clark, Reneyshia Rhodes, Janice Mason, Arien Ragster, Candice Manning Harris, Terri Anderson Scott, Thea Scott, Yvonne Thompson, Diana Martin, Terri Sneed, Dita Walker, Jacquelline Comeaux, Adreana Burton, Dawn Williams, Angela Turner, Audrey Douglas, and Cynthia McDonald. Our Delta members were pleased that their Sorors attended PHBC in huge numbers!

The PHBC Mighty Men of Valor Choir sang songs for the ladies in honor of Mother’s Day,

Congrats to Sis. Linzola Dudley-Winzer who was awarded with a plaque from the National Association of University Women, Inc. (NAUW), on 5/25/24, as the "HBCU Support Person." She assisted the Shreveport Chapter of NAUW to achieve their mission during and after the pandemic. She served as a tool to continue to carry out their programs while adhering to the mission of the NAUW. Sis. Winzer was the key to helping the organization stay on track, although the pandemic changed their personal, work, and organizational lives forever.

PHBC members attended in strong numbers to support the Anniversary of Pastor David Lamar. The celebration was held, 6/9/24 at Agape Love Worship Center. Pastor Reid, who was the guest speaker, poses with Pastor Lamar.
