Letter from the Chancellor Congratulations Graduates,
As Chancellor of Southern University of Shreveport, it is with heartfelt pride and deep admiration that I extend my warmest congratulations to the Southern University at Shreveport Class of 2025. Today is a moment of celebration, one that honors your hard work, perseverance, and the courage it took to arrive at this milestone.
You have overcome challenges, embraced new opportunities, and grown in ways that have prepared you for far more than a career, you are ready for purpose-filled impact. Your journey here at SUSLA has been about more than textbooks and exams. It’s been about developing the strength to keep going, the wisdom to lead, and the heart to serve.
Throughout your time with us, you have demonstrated the spirit of what it means to be a Jaguar. You’ve shown resilience, character, and a steadfast belief in your own potential. These qualities will take you far, not only in your chosen profession but in life. The education
you’ve received is a launching pad, not a finish line.
As you prepare to enter the next chapter, whether it be further education, the workforce, entrepreneurship, or service, I encourage you to carry the values we hold dear: integrity in your actions, excellence in your efforts, and a commitment to uplifting others. Let this guide your decisions and define your legacy.
Our faculty, staff, and administration are so proud of who you are and all you’ve accomplished. But more importantly, we believe in who you are becoming. You are ready to lead, to inspire, and to make a difference in your communities and beyond.
