   Rick’s Love Letter to Doris
To my beloved wife, Doris Ann Moore
My Dearest Babe, as I affectionately called you during our time together, you’re the first, the last, my everything! What a joy you brought to my heart, Babe, always (almost always
) with your warm, gentle, and sweet smile. You were the most courageous woman I have ever had in my life! You were quiet in expressing your faith, but between you and God, your relationship was solid. So much love you gave me, Babe, even when you felt tired and restless. You told me not to worry about you and that you were concerned about me! Always so compassionate, caring, and kind. You often said it’s going to be alright, Rick! You changed my life in many ways; you decorated and designed the house to be OUR home! Babe, until I met you, I had never spent hours on the phone. We were smiling and laughing as if we were teenagers!! As I got closer to the time to “pop the question”,
I was asked, when did you know that you were the ONE? My response was,
“When you know, you just know!” And then I knew I had you when I would tell you, Babe, I love you, and in return, you would say, “I love you, Moore”. And so, just that I know for myself, on the day you received your heavenly wings while sitting outside, a cardinal
appeared a short distance from me, flickered its wings, looked at me, and flew away with assurance that you are no longer in pain or suffering.
I love you, Doris Ann Moore, “ With all my love, always”
