At Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, we believe that our youth are not only the future of the church but also a vital part of the body of Christ today. We are delighted to congratulate “Kingdom Kidz” as the “Ministry of the Quarter.” At the heart of every thriving church is its youth—energetic, enthusiastic, and full of potential.
Kingdom Kidz is a program with a vital mission: to guide our young people in their walk with Christ. Under the leadership of Sister Leshester “Shay” Douglas, Director, and Sister Aashika Penn, Assistant Director, along with their dedicated Youth Ministry team, Kingdom Kidz
serves youth from Climbing Jacob’s Ladder Nursery through high school. This ministry goes beyond Sunday School classes and activities. It is committed to investing in the spiritual growth and well-being of every child God
places in its care. We are grateful for the full support of our pastor, Rev. Reginald G. Reid, Sr., who encourages and champions the efforts of Kingdom Kidz.
The ministry is centered around the seven (7) E’s: Equipping Hearts, Empowering Minds, Engaging Faith, Educating Lives, Edifying Spirits, Enhancing Joy, and Encouraging Growth. We encourage participation in Sunday School each week, with special activities on specific Sundays: 1st Sunday: Junior Ushers; 2nd Sunday: To God We Praise Mime Ministry and Majestic Praise Dance Ministry; 3rd Sunday: Angelic Voices and Kingdom Kidz Choirs; 4th Sunday: Communion; and 5th Sunday: Soldiers of Worship Drill Team. The youth also participate in additional roles such as Greeters, AVA Media Ministry, Men of Valor Male Chorus, and Liturgical Ministry when needed. The “Smile of A Child campaign” features children under the age of six.
Kingdom Kidz is a church-wide effort, and you can support it by praying for our youth and leaders, volunteering your time, and donating snacks, school supplies, ministry resources, and providing encouragement through your presence and words.
