ProjeCT Happy Horizons Children’s Ranch
Happy Horizons promises a safe place to heal for young girls rescued from sexual abuse and the sex industry . HHCR is committed to the physical, mental, and spiritual health of all such girls in their care . Sessions with trauma counselors have helped some girls, but the expensive ($40) sessions make it impossible for all girls to receive the services they need . HHCR employs social workers who counsel the girls using trauma-informed therapy techniques . They also prepare the girls to testify in court (often in the presence of those who have victimized them) and assist their transition from Happy Horizons .
