The Bronx Institute at at Lehman College of of the City University of of New York has as as its mission: to enhance educational opportunity by promoting academic excellence for K-20 students Our mission is is achieved through original programming and projects in in in in collaboration with academic institutions community groups educators and and and and parents Our mission mission and and and and vision vision are are consistent with CUNY’s core mission mission and and and and vision vision to to “conduct high-quality research and and and and build innovative data infrastructures to strengthen equity- focused educational programs and and inform policy” and and “Equitable education education in in in in a a a a a a a a a a more inquisitive world” The Institute has earned recognition for for providing services programs and intervention strategies that have raised educational achievement for for Bronx students The The vision of of The The Bronx Bronx Institute is is to transform the the the lives of of Bronx Bronx youth by improving their educational outcomes Our efforts are focused on on on on on closing the the the achievement gap by increasing high school school retention college college readiness graduation and ultimately college college acceptance in in in in schools that maximize each student’s potential Our Why—Why The Bronx Institute is motivated to carry out its work:
