Dear Friends,
Google defines “impact” as having a strong effect on someone or something. Your generous donations this past year have helped thousands of patients through some very difficult and challenging times. Your contributions, and those of compassionate individuals like you, have certainly made an impact by helping us raise $6.2M! We constantly remind ourselves how important it is to be both ethical
and efficient with your gifts, and we are proud to share with you that we had a cost per dollar raised of $0.16.
From restricted to unrestricted gifts; annual giving to major gifts; special events to recognition celebrations; private Foundation grants to public grants; estate-planned gifts to charitable remainder trusts; and from employee giving to corporate giving– all gifts are so appreciated. As you may know, 100% of your gift goes to the cause which you supported.
We had many exciting happenings this year. Through our HRSA federal grant we were able to educate and assist 7,454 individuals in accessing and receiving COVID-19 vaccinations! In May, we hosted our 33rd Annual Golf Classic, which
was a SOLD OUT event. We raised $183,000, which allowed us to purchase three Intravascular Ultrasound (IVUS) machines for our cardiology department. And in February, we kicked off our Employee “Spirit of Giving” Partners Program– an annual campaign that allows employees to make a charitable contribution to support the hospital. This year we raised
a record breaking amount of $233,000.
In June, we hosted the Grace Leland Recognition & Appreciation Event in honor of Grace Leland’s 67 years of service to Northridge Hospital. Grace was a long-standing Foundation Board member who played an integral role in fundraising.
Thank you to all of our partners and donors who continue to believe in supporting our mission as we improve the health of the people we serve and advance social justice for all, especially those who are vulnerable. A special thank you to our devoted Foundation Board of Directors–a group of dedicated and compassionate individuals who provide leadership and oversight to the daily activities of the Foundation.
We continue to ask for your generosity. Our hospital relies on your contribution. This year, we need as much help as you can give, as our services continue to expand and our patient population continues to increase.
Thank you again for your ongoing support, and we hope you enjoy reading this year’s Impact Report and seeing your contributions at work.
With Gratitude,
Brian P. Hammel - President, Northridge Hospital Foundation

Dignity Health - Northridge Hospital received Healthgrades highest distinction
as one of America’s 50 Best Hospitals for the fifth year in
a row. This places us in the top one percent of hospitals in the nation consistently providing overall clinical excellence across a broad spectrum of conditions and procedures for at least seven consecutive years. Simply put, patients are more likely to have
a successful treatment without major complications—and have a better chance of recovery— at America’s Best Hospitals.
