Chairman’s Notes
Good afternoon and welcome to today’s game. We extend a warm welcome to everyone from Trefelin today and hope you enjoy The Causeway experience!
A win today could make things interesting again, but we’ve been saying that a lot lately!
I’m sure everyone who was also here last week will agree what a great game of football it was. We fully played our part in an exciting spectacle and again showed what we are capable of.
Whilst it was a close call my man of the match was Barnesy. It was the start of a big week for him as he married his partner, Harriet, yesterday. Barnesy has been a great servant to the club over more years than he probably cares to remember so we’re happy to give him the day off today! We can only hope that some of his guests who you are watching today had an early night! We send our congratulations and best wishes for a happy future to Mr & Mrs Barnes.
James was, of course, a big part of our squad that saw us rise up from the County leagues. It is important that we celebrate our successes because the higher you go the harder it is to win things. This April will be the 10th anniversary of us winning Welsh League Division 3. Our Easter Monday home game versus Llantwit22 Major will also be a celebration of that great achievement so keep the date free and watch out for further details.
Please can I also alert the golfers amongst you that our annual Golf Day will be at St Pierre on May 29th. Again, watch out for further details.
So, plenty of things to look forward to but there’s nothing like a win on a Saturday to make your weekend so here’s hoping we get over the line today.
