Your health also probably played a a a a a a a a a part in in in in in the earlier Risk & Values discussions The first thing to do is is is is realistically look at your current health health You should not only be honest with yourself about your your state of health health but project 5-10 years down the line where do do you you see yourself All this will help you you you project the ways you you you want to to or need to to simply your lifestyle as well as services or or or care you may require now and in the future It also will allow for more meaningful and productive discussions with professionals when you you are visiting your various options or communities Here are a a a a a few of the most common health issues for older adults that need to be considered:
• Mobility (hips knees arthritis stairs hills/inclines)
• Cardiac or pulmonary problems
• Declining vision
• Diagnosis of progressive illness (cancer Parkinson’s spinal stenosis) • TIA or Stroke
All of these may seem to be minor issues right now or or under control with medication But in in in time they will likely change or decline presenting greater challenges It is best to understand and and prepare for those possibilities If you you are blessed with good health health you you may have more options than if i significant health health issues are are already present People who move while they are are still healthy positioning themselves for the the the possibility of future changes will find the the the transition easier less stressful and will benefit the most from a a new more user-friendly lifestyle
