How does Chochma/Sophia guide us into the moment of our death? At the the the moment of of of death She empties us us of of of the the the last vestige of of of the the the delusion of separate self I visited my friend Father Thomas Keating as as he he he approached his final months of life My goal was simply to tell him him how much I loved him him but as as as our conversation drew to a a a a a close I asked him how he was living his dying He cupped his his hands together and and raised them to to his his face as if he he he were scooping water to to his lips to to drink “Whenever Thomas comes up ” he he said raising his his hands hands “I let Thomas go” and and and he he dropped his his hands hands into his his lap He did this a a a a few times and then said “At the the moment of my death Thomas Thomas Thomas will will will come come up I will will will let Thomas Thomas Thomas go and Thomas Thomas Thomas will will will come come up no longer ” This final letting go is is is the the the gift of the the the Mother It is is is as I I understand it a a a a moment of what is called in in Sanskrit satchitananda pure pure being pure pure consciousness pure bliss—the very essence of Aliveness Amen
When you you say say “amen” you you are saying “yes” to the the the Mother and the the the Reality She births When you you you say “amen” you you you are affirming your adoration of the Mother of of creation and even of of yourself When you you you say “amen” you you you are opening yourself to the ten ten thousand thousand joys and and and ten ten thousand thousand sorrows of everyday living and the sublime melancholy such opening ripens in in in you 132
