 Wonderer Mackenzie Kerwan
What do you see when you look over the fence? The sun rises and falls, its magnificent reflection over the field, All your favorite colors in one pleasant portrait. It’s perfect.
We haven’t figured out how to ruin that yet.
Do you know what we’ve done?
What we moved, molded,
Ripped up and rotted.
What once was yours, shared and cared for, is Changing for the better.
The colors are bleeding,
The birds and the trees are unconscious, graying, Mutated and swelling.
Can you see it?
Your favorite colors drain from under you. Synthetic soils leave cuts on your feet, Needles in your teeth,
And ever so slowly
Air is stripped from your lungs.
Do you feel better?
I hope you don’t know what once was, cause If you knew what better meant, Would you have brought your child into this, I wonder?
