“Yes. Dimensionally speaking. I imagine my position would remain the same
regardless of plane.” I remarked.
“Would you ever be able to tell how many dimensions there are, now that your
preconception of there only being one has been shattered?”
I thought for a moment. What was the point of this? “No.” I chided. The mixture
of curiosity and frustration is an old and intoxicating sensation, and I could not tell what was predominant anymore.
“Would you be able to tell how many floors are in a building if you were placed outside of it?” he continued.
“I tire of this.”
“Humour me, please. I’m getting to what you’re asking, I promise you.” “Fine. Yes.”
“Would the same be true if you were to be placed outside of reality, how many
dimensions there are?” “Presumably, I suppose.”
“That’s what I’m doing. I’m taking you out of your reality so that you can see the full depth of injustice.”
Taking me out of reality? I’d read reports of some breakthroughs with things like subspace. That wasn’t where I think he was going though. It felt oddly threatening. The GalCop was anything but injust. Sure, some citizens infringed upon each other, but that’s what I was for. Had been for.
