The Black Scholars of Westchester Community Partnership
For 34 years our coalition of 21 community organizations have worked together to dispel the myth of African-American academic underperformance. Each year, the partnership honors more than 350 local African-American high school graduates who have maintained honor roll credentials throughout their high school years.
Also, the Westchester Black Scholars Partnership is distinguished as one of the few organizations in New York State to recognize the county’s top teachers for their outstanding work in our schools.

Our Mission:
1. To inspire youth intellectually and spiritually to become productive community members.
2. To create college prep programs to strengthen the intellectual and spiritual skills necessary for success in higher education.
3. To support the objectives of colleges and universities in the Pomona, CA Valley.
4. To identify qualified students of color and support admission to and successful matriculation in these institutions.
5. To translate public service goals into effective community action.
