Page 9 - The Resurrection Was NOT on Sunday

FRIDAY

BURIAL
The diagram shows the wrong interpretation of the timing of Jesus' death on Friday. If this had happened this way, He would have spent only Friday night to Saturday morning, then Saturday evening to Sunday morning until an unknown hour, giving us only ONE night and part of another. He would have spent only the Saturday in the grave, since He would have been buried sunset Friday and spent no part of Sunday there. Therefore, He would have spent two nights and one day, thus not fulfilling the prophecy about Christ.

This diagram shows what really occurred. The dark part of the diagram represents the nights and the light part the days. Since Jesus died on Wednesday and was buried at sunset, we have to count from that point three days and three nights, as the diagram shows.
