 Master’s Message
 Brethren,
Lodge is back in session and I hope to see you all in Lodge at some point during my last 6 meeting. We will be jumping right into work on our first meeting as our EA’s will be doing their catechism and then Friday night DtV will be visiting Ionic Lodge in Reisterstown so they can receive their 2nd degree. Our line officers are hard at work getting ready to stand prophecy in the 3rd degree and perform it at a Low Vale. Yes, that’s right, I would like to plan a Low Vale this year in early October at Past Master Gemeny’s home in Finksburg. Our next meeting we will be planning this event. Our 2nd meeting in September will be a regular business meeting.
This Summer we got to spend time together as we floated down the Shenandoah River and during our Family Picnic. The Picnic was well attended by members of all of the Bodies that meet at Door to Virtue.
Our Breakfast committee has reported we will not be having a breakfast in September, they will be playing it by ear each month to see how the Virus is progressing.
Brothers as many of you know the beginning of the fall session is when we mail out notices for suspension for Non Payment of Dues, as per the Constitution of the Grand Lodge. We have no control over this, dues notices are sent out at the end of they year and are to be paid by the beginning of the year to come. We then carry any Brothers who have not paid until the end of the year when the NPD’s are issued. All while still paying the Grand Lodge assessments of every member, current on the dues or not. Rest assured if you do get suspended, this is not the end of your Masonic career. Simply pay the dues and any fees that have occurred and you are reinstated. But, if at anytime you do receive a NPD, your 10 years to get into Bonnie Blink, if ever needed, will restart. The NPD will also go into your permanent records. You can pay your dues by cash or check to the lodge or online for a small fee by clicking on this link, here or visiting the DTV square store at https://doortovirtue46.square.site
I unfortunately have to end my message on sad news, over the summer we lost 2 Past Masters; Brothers Richard Shamer and Carter Wilson. It is always hard for a Lodge to lose any Brother, but Past Master are the back bone of a Lodge and can provide the Master with insight and experience that is easily over looked through the whirlwind that is your year in the East.
Fraternally,
Michael Raab, PM / WM
