Finally, never forget that anesthesiologists matter in OR. The anesthesiologist mainly
takes care of two figures in OR: the patient and the surgeon. Disengaging, escalating or
making biased remarks in the event can be fuel for the “fire” during an OR conflict, but the anesthesiologist can contribute positive, reasonable and knowledgeable influences to any OR event in order to proactively avoid a conflict or calm down an ongoing situation. Furthermore, it is essential that anesthesiologist and surgeon remember why they are in the OR in the first place. Anesthesiologists should and must protect their patients, ensuring the best care and make safe for the patient. Keeping this goal in mind will inspire both parties to work together in a professional and efficient manner. Over time, faith develops between the two parties and both trust that the other is doing their best for the patient.
