The newly-appointed Editor-in-chief of the CASA Bulletin of Anesthesiology invited me to write something as a history review of the increasingly popular
CASA Bulletin of Anesthesiology. I feel obligated to accept his invitation. The Editor-in-chief of 2018, Dr. Cathy X. Cao truly culminated the journal into an elegant blend of news, academic updates, social activities and other anesthesiology-related events.
If we trace the origin of this CASA official publication, we could probably find its predecessors as the CASA President’s Monthly Updates in 2013 [Figure 1] and CASA monthly Newsletters in 2014 [Figure 2] .

David Tang, Wei Chao, Jeffrey Huang, Henry Liu, Lixin Liu, Haiming Wang and Jingping Wang [Table 1] (Based on the request, we did not mention 2014’s Managing editor’s name and contributions).
In 2015, CASA Board started the name “CASA Bulletin of Anesthesiology” and Dr. Henry Liu served as the Editor-in-chief. And the editor team expanded to include Drs. Jeffrey Huang, Jiapeng Huang, Jinlei Li, Lixin Liu, Hong Wang, and Henry H. Zhou, with Xiangyong Zhou, Yin Chen, Cathy X. Cao and Haiming Wang served as Guest editors and David Tang as the Honorary Editor-in-chief. The new name and new format significantly changed the appearance and contents, making it more like a professional journal both in appearance and contents [Figure

In 2016, CASA Board appointed Dr. Jeffrey Huang as Editor-in-chief of the CASA Bulletin of Anesthesiology. Jeffrey made a great contribution by obtaining an ISSN number for our
