Instagram
Being a photographer Instagram is probably my most important social media platform and in terms of value to my sales pipeline is vital. My instagram page www.instagram.com/ walking.gun.photography currently has 20k followers although it is currently slightly less than it has been as I have recently removed some 2000 fake account followers presumably as my account was targeted by one of the Spam Bott companies and my page is one that the fake accounts would “follow”. This is a dull and rather boring process but something I do when I have time.
What is vitally Important is that I have built this following over the last 18 months through regular posting of high quality content that is relevant and current and targeted.

Instagram is a mobile app that allows you to share photos and videos In ex- change, its in-house algorithm provides you with a ‘home feed’ that tries to present you with the posts and video ‘stories’ that you’re most likely to enjoy The algorithm is based on three main factors:
Interest. How interested they think you’ll be in the content based on your past browsing history on Instagram;
Timeliness. How recently the content was published (Note that Instagram used to have a reverse- chronological feed, but ‘recency’ is now just one of many factors used);
Relationship. How connected you are to users such as friends and family based on how often you visit their accounts, tag them or comment on their posts
There are also three secondary criteria used:
Frequency. What posts you see will be tailored to how regularly you use Instagram and therefore, how long you have been away from your feed;
Following. The number of accounts you follow, ie the more accounts you follow, the fewer posts you’ll see from each - although you’ll still see more overall;
Usage. The more time you spend on Instagram, the more posts you’ll see.
