INTHE CLOUD
The wood-plank walkway loops erratically round and round the core structure— wooden beams set into a wooden grid supported by columns—at some points thrusting visitors out almost into the abyss.
Its creators, Fránek Architects and Taros Nova, described the experience of constructing the Sky Walk as “astonishing and chilling at the same time.”
The 55-metre-high summit of the new Sky Walk, in Dolní Morava, Czech Republic, is reached via a wooden path for walkers, strollers and wheelchairs.
For the non-vertigo- challenged, there are nets, nests and a twisting 101-metre stainless steel slide— with windows—to enhance the experience of being high up in the clouds.
