De retour au pays, il habite Gémenos au quartier “Plein Soleil” et sa peinture est justement pleine de soleil, lumineuse, aux couleurs aguicheuses. Il sait se débarrasser des détails pour emplir ses toiles de flaques chatoyantes. Ses compositions se posent entre le figuratif et l’abstrait pour dire les paysages d’ici ou montrer les natures mortes.
“Pour moi la composition est très importante, une toile a un espace bien défini qu’elle doit remplir correctement, Mon premier travail est le trait, puis je viens à l’harmonie des couleurs, j’invente une musique concordante pour chaque tableau, pour chacun je prospecte de nouvelles tonalités, je recherche perpétuellement pour chaque oeuvre”.
C’est la célébration épicée de la Provence ou chaque toile reste en l’oeil comme les tanins du vin en bouche.
