REAL DOG FOOD
The news from Honey’s (and Darling’s)
Dear Members,
Supplier visits
Technically, this is an advertisement but, in fact, we thought we would use the space to update you on our news and, more importantly, to thank you for your wonderful support.
One-in-ten customers come via a homeopathic vet
We always keep a note of how a customer has heard of us and one in ten say that it was via a homeopathic vet, or via an existing customer who came via a homeopathic vet. Reason enough to back the Association. However, even if you weren’t so kind to us, we would still be happy to offer our
support, because we believe in what you do. We
hope you know that you can depend on us for
whatever cash and food we can spare and also (if
it is ever of any use) for our time.
During January and February we are doing another round of supplier inspections to check that the free range animals and birds we use are properly free range and that they lead a good quality of life. Generally, two or three of us go on these visits, so that if someone calls and wants to know about a specific farm there is more than one person in the office who can speak about it with
confidence. Our policy is to source as close to
Pewsey as possible, and at the moment the
furthest we have to travel is Devon and

Jonathan’s book Honey’s Natural Feeding Handbook for Dogs is now available. Our extremely friendly publisher has given us a large quantity for free and we are happy to pass some copies on to any vet who would like a supply. When our free books run out, we can let you have them at

A huge thank you, again, for all your support, which

is much appreciated. Also, if it doesn’t seem too late,
a very happy and healthy new year.
Seminar
On Saturday 11th February Jonathan and Nick Thompson are giving a morning seminar for veterinary professionals on natural feeding for dogs and cats. It is being held at the Café Anglais in London (rather a nice venue... Jonathan’s brother in law is the chef) and if you know of a vet or veterinary nurse who would like to learn all about natural feeding please put them in touch or send us their details. Tickets are £50, but the book’s publisher has agreed to subsidise the whole cost for veterinary professionals (in other words, tickets are free!).

Our name change
We are still in the process of changing our name from Darling’s to Honey’s. It is taking us a little longer than we hoped because we are so busy. Sorry for any confusion.
