deepest level, the level Hahnemann alludes to when he talks about freely availing the body “for the higher purposes of life” in Aphorism 9. This is the realisation that you are not separate from this awesome existence all around, but are one with it, and it is truly beautiful and good.
Matthew did not need homeopathy. He was “whole” (healed) in the true meaning of the word and inspired many as he completed his travels on earth.
I propose the following definition for homeopathic healing:
“The facilitation of an energetic shift within the patient towards their optimal corporeal existence”.
Perhaps this definition, and what I understand by it, can be further explored in the future.

President’s Report to the AGM,
April 24, 2025
It’s been two years now since our officer team has taken over the management of the IAVH. I feel we’ve accomplished a lot in this time, especially reorganizing a chaotic office and correcting quite a number of problems. We are now in a good situation, and we are improving this by having Lavra Kreacic, our office manager, handle more of our office tasks as well as involving her more so she knows more of the workings of the IAVH.
We also have stabilized our membership this year after some years of losses for various reasons. We are growing now, bit by bit, with newly accredited teachers and examiners and we have some newly accredited members as well. Emily McAteer has joined the board with a nice addition of members from Ireland and this is very good news as the situation in the United Kingdom as a whole has been declining in the past few years, as with other countries like Germany, Austria, and Spain. Fortunately Peter Gregory reports that the UK situation may be starting to improve, and indeed, there are some active and energetic new young(er) members there whom I have met at IAVH and BAHVS meetings. Mirjam Blatnik is doing good work in Slovenia with a lot of interest and newly certified members over the last few years, and we have some new members from Serbia, Colombia, and India among others.
The situation in Spain in general has as well been difficult, in part due to economic difficulties from the covid mess, but also, at least with those in the human medical profession, the false Australian report created real
problems in Spain with the government oversight officials. Unfortunately, the original report from Australia, which showed that in fact homeopathic medicine is effective, was released later due to citizen outcry and lawsuits but the release made barely a blip on the media radar, unlike the original one which went like a shot heard around the world.
I am in contact with people from Spain and attempting to see if we can help things there and interest them again in joining IAVH. María Fernández-Portales, our current Spanish representative, has said she is really too busy to do much with the IAVH currently. We need a new representative for Spain (and also the Netherlands). I am still hopeful of creating a Spanish language subgroup of IAVH, as homeopathy is still relatively strong in Central and South America. We have some new members from there. Also, as we have worked closely with LMHI (Liga Medicorum Homeopathica Internationalis), I am hoping to continue this in association with the Mexican congress of LMHI in Mérida, Mexico in October 2026. I have communicated with a Mexican colleague who is also a member of the Academy of Veterinary Homeopathy in the US, and also with the board of AVH and the LMHI President as well as the Mexican MD who is organizing this congress. I would like to arrange a joint IAVH-AVH congress along with LMHI in order to promote IAVH in Mexico and to try to connect the various Latin American countries through IAVH, along with Spain.
