  • “Familial...bonds exhibiting friendship and love, able to sense danger.
• Alert; calm during difficult situations.
• Desire to help the less fortunate.
• Strong willpower and control over his senses.
• Once betrayed, severs the relationship.
• Aversion to company.”3
The wolf is a symbol of intelligence and courage, has a strong sense of self but also of family. They show fierce loyalty, while maintaining their individualism. They are talked of as being cold blooded despite their social attributes but rarely engage in fights, relying on vocalisations and posture to convey meaning and communicate.2
Daisy lived on the outskirts of the family for some time before formally joining the household. Like the wolf “...on the edge of society wanting, deciding whether, to come back in.”4 Wild yet social. Isolated but resisting the loss of freedom.5 A wolf coming into society from her homeless life.
Some of the other themes of this remedy that I thought fit with Daisy.2:
• The intruder or the outsider that cannot tolerate being tamed. A need to own themselves and a longing for the wild and nature.
• Mortality, and protective of children in danger. Sensitive and caring. Ailments from abandonment.
• Friendship, relationships, loving, lively and playful need for exercise.
• Perceptive and a good communicator.
• Body awareness.
• Restless, irritable, alert.
• Circles and spirals; I was struck by the ‘donut’, a circular
blow up collar that she had worn constantly for months
if not years and how it had become part of her life.
• Transportation and vehicles. Daisy is only vocal with the
engine of the car is running.
Ravens are often called ‘wolf birds’ due to their relationship with them.4 Daisy’s owner reflected on the feeling that if she wasn’t a cat, she would be a bird.
Email update from Daisy’s owners 27.03.23
“We are so pleased to say that she is completely better. It took about a week after we started on the second remedy [Lac lupinum] for Daisy, for her to completely stop grooming. We reluctantly took off her donut collar as she had been wearing it for so long. Every time we took the donut collar off prior to the second remedy been given to Daisy she would still continue to groom, so we were delighted when she finally stopped grooming herself or at least calmed it down considerably. Her fur and skin feel a lot healthier and a lot less dry.”
It was then I suddenly realised I had overlooked something glaring[ly] obvious...she was grey just like the wolf.
I recommended they continue the remedies and the Australian Bush flowers for two more weeks and then stop the Bush flowers and continue the remedies for a further two weeks and review.
