Short summary:
Problem started when she was very young, maybe 7 or 8 months old, when the owner was babysitting the other 2 months old puppy and she attacked him when they were eating in the same room. The attack was for real, biting puppy to bloods. And after that it was gradually getting worse with attacking other dogs, she didn’t know before. She didn’t bother them, but if somebody came and sniffed her she attacked and chase them and bite them. Didn’t hear anything at that time.
When she was at the training for hunting she had to eat in separate room from other dogs, because when eating she could attack any dog, even those she respected otherwise. She is very unpredictable.
When 6 months old Kata came (Ariele was 1,5 years old at that time) it was really hard at the beginning and the owners had to be very careful that Ariele didn’t attack and kill Kata. Things eventually got better and they could be together in the same room, sleep on the same bed. There was never problem outside on the field where there is enough space. They eat separately and when alone for longer time or over the night they are in separate boxes. But occasionally Ariele will still attack Kata, bite her in the ears, legs, neck with terrible growling and barking. The owners never figured out what
was the trigger for the attacks, and it is usually in closed spaces, it could be in front of the door when going inside. No matter what the owners did at that time, she wouldn’t stop. She would even growl at them and after putting her in her box after an incident, she would be in that
trance state for some time, and after that like nothing had happened. Attacks could happen twice a week or twice a month, nobody knew when and why. It was pretty scary.
She never goes to strange dog, but if another dog comes and sniffs her, she will attack and chase him to hell, unless they are Great Danes. She respects Great Danes and lies on the ground in front of them. She is very playful and hyperactive like a puppy with the dogs she has known all her life.
She barks and makes a lot of noise but only when she is excited. She loves fieldwork and searching for things restlessly, when she does things she doesn’t adore you can see she doesn’t put much effort in it.
She is very smart, loves attention, is jealous, eats everything, adores water. She was born with 13 siblings and when the owner took her she was all scratched and bitten on ears and lips. Her first heat was when she was 17 months old, since then they have been regular. She never had puppies. She is very sexual when in heat, but the owners says she would eat the male dog before she would let him mate with her. They say she is very regal in her postures. She is very gentle but strong-minded at the same time.
