  The British Association of Homeopathic Veterinary Surgeons (BAHVS) was formed in 1981, to advance the understanding, knowledge and practice of homeopathy. It aims to stimulate professional awareness of homeopathy and to encourage and to provide for the training of
veterinary surgeons in the practice of homeopathy.
It is an open forum for differing approaches to the subject of veterinary homeopathy and it’s application, allowing for constructive interchanges of ideas.

It’s hard to believe we’re already in November (although all the Christmas fare in shops is a clue . . .!). This is the month of the Faculty of Homoeopathy’s 100th Congress, and I’m very much looking forward to it, in particular to meeting up with our members old and new. The website tells me 18 days, 6 hours and 40 minutes to go, as I write this! It’s not too late to register, if you haven’t already, the programme looks great.
I’ve heard good reports of the Faculty’s series of webinars “Private Passions”, where three of our members so far have presented aspects of homoeopathy that they are passionate about, so thanks go to Nick Thompson, Sue Armstrong and Chris Aukland for sharing their enthusiasm about their work. I haven’t been able to find a link to future webinars, perhaps there are no more to come, but the past three are available via the Faculty website.
I’ve also heard a lot about the current Faculty approved NCIM homoeopathy course for medical professionals. There are currently two RVNs studying with NCIM, one of whom is a member of my nursing team, so I can’t avoid the issues.

We need to discuss the issue of RVNs and homoeopathy at our AGM this year, as they are an important part of the future of our particular professional niche. Those of us who are qualified and experienced should be encouraging ALL of our
