We see that Coffea and galium aparine are the only represented remedies, both from the Rubiales family. Galium is cancer miasm and has the common name of cleavers.
We also see that Belladonna is present in the repertorisation, and of course could be a considered prescription. However using this system we see that it is not 'teenage'. In fact the Solanales are 'before birth, primeval'.
In the repertory, Coffea has the fear of being approached and touched.
Prescription Coffea 1M
Four weeks later
Maisie is doing really really well. She was worse after the remedy for a few days and then seemed to sleep a lot. She likes to sleep under the bed. I then noticed her head shape changed – she looked more mature and it was almost as if she grew up overnight. Her barking is now back to normal, and she is not sitting in the armchair watching and barking at the traffic either, nor is she barking at people when we are out. She will walk upstairs without pausing to look out of the window too! Her hyper-vigilance has definitely reduced.
She continues to do well.
I think this is only my second successful Coffea case in 26 years of homeopathy!
I strongly advise you incorporate Michal's ideas into your work.
Update from owner
The change in her was hugely positive, as I have said. It is as though she has matured overnight since the remedy, which is absolutely fascinating. You were prescribing on her hypervigilant/fearful behaviour however looking back I would say she was stuck in puppyhood. It’s as if the remedy has allowed her to ‘catch up’, to remove whatever was blocking her at an energetic level.
She slept a lot the week she had the remedy and changed physically almost overnight, looking more mature in both her head and body. The physical changes accompanied the positive changes in her behaviour. How cool is that? By addressing the behaviour before it became an issue, we have prevented it becoming learned and muscle memory developing. But the remedy has addressed more than just her behaviour: it’s helped her grow up and become more rounded. The nice thing about treating Maisie is that she is a clean slate: she has never any drugs or vaccinations.
If we had managed Maisie as just a behaviour case, we would have set up her environment to stop her barking in the house by restricting her access and put in place desensitisation and counter conditioning outside when she met new people. It would certainly have been a lot more work and we wouldn’t have addressed the issue of whatever needed to shift energetically to allow her to ‘grow up’.
working parents and highly evolved instinctive behaviour. She has an amazing personality and is quite a character, and a great family dog. We adore her.
Does she have behavioural issues?
No, I wouldn’t label her as having behavioural issues. The question is, can homeopathy smooth her transition through to adulthood? If it can help, great! If we just have to work through it, that’s fine too.
Analysis
The main rubric is ALERT, although we need to be aware this is a very incomplete rubric. There are 41 remedies in Synthesis.
However the word teenage has been used three times. I will limit to this row, known as adolescence, using Michal's repertory.
If Coffea doesn't immediately feel like an ideal remedy (and of course it does) we could then consider how we could use the phrases She is not a wallflower, amazing personality, and quite a character. I would suggest a well-developed strong ego, suggestive of column 5 or six. We can now include that in our analysis.
