He gets more energy and breathing issues resolve themselves. Two years later he takes the remedy again for the same breathing issue that had returned with the same good result.
Two years later he is put to sleep because he had lost too many teeth and could not keep his weight to go through the winter (the horses live out all year round).
Case 2
She was a beagle of 9 years old and diagnosed with rapid developing lymphoma. At the time of diagnosis, she was mildly anaemic, lethargic, all her lymph glands were swollen and there was a 12 cm diameter mass in the spleen. She
was rescued from Romania, possibly weaned to early?
The owner told me the following about her: ‘’ She does not like violence on television or when we have an argument. She puts herself between us, when we have an argument. She is like a mediator.
She has taught me what unconditional love means and how to bring peace (She had helped the owner to overcome the consequences of a difficult childhood and liver cancer 6 years before). She needs a loving relation with us and is intelligent and deep. She is very sensitive to unpleasantness on the television – she walks away.
She stands her ground and will bite anybody, who annoys her. She puts herself in front of me, when I get angry and I need to calm down, like an old wise person. She under-
stands everything. The only thing she cannot do is talk.
Case 3
this Labrador, entire bitch, was initially seen for mild signs of pyometra and improved with some antibiotics. She had a normal (?) season 3 weeks earlier. there was some dark discharge from the vulva, temperature was up and she was off colour. On ultrasound, no obvious pyometra was seen. She did not improve fully and was still not right. He breathing was not ok. the lung sounds were a bit rough. the owner declined further investigat- ions. We decided to look for a remedy to help her.
‘’She is deep; she is a matriarch. She is a little maternal but certainly top dog. She would never show you that she adored you like most Labradors. She does not bark much; she is not neurotic. She had two litters of puppies and she was a good mum but not over the top with it.
After the second litter she had serious gastro-enteritis and she had to be hospitalised.
She likes to be with us but she does not demand anything. She always has been lazy; she did not play much as a young dog. She came in season twice per year and it did not change her. All the dogs in her family were straight- forward dogs.
She quite happy follows us and she had not needed much training. She would do anything for food. She is happy in her own skin. She would never run for a stick or a ball: why would I do this? Loyal dog. She would stay with me to make sure that I was ok, when my husband went further on walks. She is never frightened.
She allowed children to walk all over her and pull her ears. She likes puppies: hello puppy. She is intelligent. She would not pretend something is wrong, unless something was really wrong.’’
I get the feeing of the similar dynamic like the two other
We had to treat her for itching many year ago; she responded to nothing, until we went to see an animal communicator, who told us that it was because she had supported me through my liver cancer treatment – the itching juts went.
She is introvert and she does not like other dogs annoying her. On walks she will run up to people and bark at a distance as if to say ‘leave me alone’. She is frightened of no dog and she puts them all in their place, however big they may be. She is frightened of gunshots.
She needs affection, to be in a relationship and she is sensible and intelligent with people. She does not want one of ‘the group’ to walk away; even an electrician who comes and works in the house or the staff in our shop.
She will bite if you wake her up and surprise her. We have to leave her by herself in her basket. In the shop she is happy for people to stroke her. (I need to muzzle her to examine her: she just goes to bite, as soon as the examination gets a bit invasive). She loves the small children but she will nib their fingers, if they start to bother her: she tells them off‘’.
I did not repertories this case. There was nothing physical or modalities-wise to approach this case. Based on the sense that this seemed an animal case, of the mammalian kind, with a sense of profound wisdom and deepness, I prescribed Lac-loxodonta-africana 1M twice daily, changed to Lac-elephas-maximus 10M after 1 month. She reminded me of the horse.
She picked up within a few days and lived well with normal energy for 5 months, going for long walks being her normal self, taking the remedy twice per day, every day. Then she suddenly went downhill and was put to sleep.
