cussed how he chose Cicuta, often con- sidered a seizure remedy, for constitu- tional treatment of a dog with incontinence, behaviour oddities, aller- gies and arthritis.
Silia Marucelli (Italy) has the goal of giving one Distemper–Parvo vaccine per puppy, when the maternal immu- nity wanes. She showed how this can be done with periodic testing; if that is not possible, one vaccination at 3 months appears to be adequate.
Minako Kuroda (Japan) started Sunday discussing the benefits of using homeopathy over antibiotics in small animal cases. She illustrated this with successfully treatment of an abscess in an aged cat, infection in a rabbit with a high risk of gut dysbiosis, an AMR infection, and a chest infection.
Edward de Beukelaer (UK) pre- sented a case of a nippy JRT with a non- union of the distal L femur and pain. The strong sign of ‘wanting rubbing’ led him to prescribe Oleum animale Ethereum, with excellent results.
Peter Gregory (UK) discussed the spider remedies, and their attributes of the animal kingdom, as well as their peculiarities, such as patience and hyperactivity, and illustrated this with several cases.
Malene Jørgensen (France) gave a practical and in-depth discussion of chronic renal disease in cats, and how raw diet, supplements, and supportive remedies can help this condition.
Bernhard Hornig (Germany) described the current status of the Vet Rep, and how it differs from a human oriented repertory. To verify rubrics, he asks that each person send (3ho@bnhof.de) 5 remedies that have been effective, and the rubrics used to choose those remedy.
Banu Kantarcioglu (Turkey) pre- sented two interesting Staphysagria cases, one a male cat with infertility and marking in the house, another a dog with separation anxiety. Both had issues of suppressed anger and sensitivity.
Marina Nuovo and Barbara Rigamonti (Italy) discussed the themes of Lac lupinum and Falco peregrinus, and how they relate to the animal kingdom, the lacs, and animals held in captivity.
Dunya Reiwald (Switzerland) dis- cussed the importance of the gut-brain axis, and how the health of one can affect the health of the other.
Cristina Stocchino (Italy) presented a case of cervical spinal disease, showing how important cooperation from the owner is to ensuring a good quality of life.
Marilisa Picca (Italy) discussed the use of oral potassium ascorbate with ribose in cancer cases. The mechanism of action is unknown, but it does seem to improve outcomes with cancer patients, perhaps through the effect of potassium on slowing cancer prolifera- tion or governing tumour apoptosis.
We should all be receiving the text of these presentations from David Bettio, if further information is desired!
Sara Fox Chapman (USA) discussed the evidence demonstrating that retaining gonads is important to the health of dogs, and urged vets to con- sider the options of hysterectomy and vasectomy.
