Room Acoustics
Imagine that you are in a room, playing your favorite music on a high quality surround sound system. The sound bounces off the floor, walls, and ceiling, and also any furnishings in the room, so that if you shut it off abruptly, you will actually continue to hear the music after the stereo has stopped
producing it. This effect is called reverberation, or afterperception.
