Type 2: Large Diameter Perforated Stretch Ceilings
Large diameter perforation in stretch ceiling membrane comes in diameters of 1.3 and 1.8mm. These options create new opportunities in design and function, as well as ensuring comfortable acoustics in a greater variety of rooms.
Public buildings and rooms such as shopping centers and stores, restaurants, spas and gyms present the designer with special acoustical challenges due to higher ambient noise levels than usually found in private residential spaces. Regulations and requirements may also be more stringent, and there may also be more extensive engineering systems (HVAC - Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning, Plumbing, and Electrical) which will need to be accessed for maintenance and repair.
