No pandemic nor distance can set a boundary for the CBI team to conductaglamorousandsuccessful event. Not even the storms or the distance across the globe can stop us from accomplishing our itinerary and producing colorful results. Our internal team members and CBI members all around the globe rally together to fulfill a successful Birthday Bash because CBI knows no boundaries and limitations.
It is not difficult to admit that the preparations and plan execution from weeks leading to the event was nerve-racking. There are too many things to plan, prepare and execute. However, teamwork indeed makes the dream work. Team effort, collaboration and extreme dedication to achieve one common goal; a prosperous event, results in making everything smooth and possible. In spite of the horrific impact brought about
by the COVID-19 pandemic, the CBI team has carefully devised alternate solutions and designed realistic plans at the times leading up to what was supposed to be CBI’s Annual Conference. With the aid of today’s powerful technology, we are able to host the Birthday Bash as if we were conducting an on-site event, seeing our members and colleagues from around the globe in flesh.
We had to rethink the manner in which we could hold a conference. When restrictions started being lifted, we were extremely excited and looked at having a live audience, while streaming out to the rest of theworld.Unfortunately,therewere still some challenges to be faced. Airlines facing bankruptcy, limited flights from Namibia. Self-isolation in conjunction with added costs of hotels. Social distancing meant that an enormous venue was needed,
but we would only be allowed to accommodate a limited number of guests. Looking at all these factors, we decided to postpone the conference and celebrate CBI’s 3rd Birthday instead.
Why celebrate a Birthday? Did you know that companies in this industry generally last between 6-9 months? Rarely do they make it to 18 months. Many times, you hear of companies in this industry exploding in numbers overnight, sadly, they disappear the same way. We have grown slowly and steadily. We have put systems and fail safes into place, so that we can weather storms.
Do you remember the Crypto crash in January of 2018? We ARE still here and going STRONG! Even though the CBI team is spread across different countries, continents, and time zones, all those who were able
