CHOREOGRAPHERS
TERRICA BANKS-TILLMON
TerriCa banks, began her dance training at the Olga Fricker Sheila Darby School of Dance in Los Angeles, CA. In 1997 she obtained a BFA in Dance with a specialization in performance, from the University of California Irvine. While attending UCI, Terrica studied under the direction of the legendary choreographer Donald McKayle and was a member of his traveling company Etude Ensemble. She has performed with several companies and choreographers in the Los Angeles area including The Lula Washington Dance Theatre, Claude Thompson, Carlos Jones and Company, Erin White Landry and Sean Greene. She is a featured dancer in the Herbie Hancock Living Jazz CD. Spreading her love for dance, Mrs. Banks has been the choreographer for the Los Angeles chapter of Links, Inc. Cotillion for 13 years. In 2000 Terrica joined Jazz Antiqua Dance and Music Ensemble and has appeared with the company in several television, film and stage performances.
CHRIS SMITH
Chris smiTh is a graduate of Long Beach Jordan High School. He has studied and performed Ballet, Modern, Jazz, African, Swing, and Hip Hop at The Ailey School (New York), Cypress College, Long Beach City Community College, and Huntington Beach High School APA (Academy of Performing Arts). He is a dynamic dancer and a phenomenal teacher / choreographer.Chris shares his many talents as a way to providing outreach to local programs, high schools and colleges. He’s also performed with companies such as Bristol Contemporary, Jazz Antiqua Dance and Music Ensemble, KPA Fusion, Project 21, Troy Powell (Ailey 2) and Main Ingredient (CJ Edwards).
