To our son Kyle “the Rock” Hardnett,
17 years ago God answered our prayers and we welcomed a loving, intellectually and emotionally bright, God-fearing, strong, independent thinking, family oriented, athletic son who is a joy to be around.
Kyle, you’ve gotten A’s through elementary, middle, and high school, scored in the top 1% of African-Americans on the SAT, are an AP scholar having scored in the top percentage on AP exams, and remain humble, sensitive to your surroundings, communicate calmly and thoughtfully, with understanding and empathy.
Through multiple adversities of 2020 (pandemic, sickness and death of your Nana, mother’s disability) you maintained a 4.6 GPA, trained for varsity basketball, received National College Board honors, were elected Jack and Jill of America’s Teen President, delivered food to homeless shelters, provided groceries to families during the pandemic, completed NASA’s Project Lead the Way and maintained your sense of humor, loving heart, love for God and family, all while becoming a mature young man.
We celebrate you!!! You are definitely a blessing!!
