Important Things To Know During Your Stay:
CALLING YOUR NURSE
Use your call bell box and be sure it is within reach at all times. You may also use the nurse call bell on the side of your bed. Please ask your nurse to show you where the call
buttons are located.
USING YOUR
TELEPHONE
For internal calls, dial
the four-digit extension number. To make a local call, you must rst dial a 9, then the area code and number.
For deaf and hearing impaired patients, a telecommunication device for the deaf (TDD) is available upon request by calling Ext. 1234.
ATM
ATMs are located on the [XX] oors.
CASE MANAGEMENT
& SOCIAL SERVICES
e hospital has case managers to help patients and families with discharge planning needs. ey tell you about options available and o er advice and help with various available options
for you when you are ready to move
to a di erent level of care within the hospital or the community. Ask your nurse or call 123-4567 or 8910.
CELL PHONES
Cell phone use can interfere with patient monitoring equipment. Guests are asked to leave the patient’s room prior to using their cell phone. Cell phones are not allowed
in the ICU.
FIRE SAFETY
We conduct re drills from time to time. If you hear an alarm, please stay where you are. In an actual emergency a nurse or other sta member will instruct you on what to do next.
FLOWERS
Flowers (fresh cut, arti cial or dried arrangements) are prohibited in all intensive care units, recovery, operating rooms, nurseries, labor/delivery unit, oncology and transplant units.
GIFT SHOP
e gi shop is located in the main lobby on the rst oor of the hospital.

We gladly take phone orders for hospital patients; call 123-4567 to have a plant, owers, balloons or other
gi item delivered to a room during operating hours.
INTERNET
You can use a personal laptop computer and most other mobile wireless devices in the Hospital. Connect your device to our Wireless Guest Network, which is designed for guests and patients at the Hospital, by selecting [HOSPITAL TO PROVIDE] from the list of networks that appear when you click on the wireless icon.
INTERPRETERS
Ask for someone who speaks your preferred language if you are having di culty.
LOST & FOUND
Items found on hospital premises or le behind in patient rooms are turned in to security. E orts are made to contact the owners and these items are disposed of a er 30 days.
