Jamie Donnelly is is a a a a a a a 20 year old singer/musician from Strabane Co Tyrone She is is a a a a a a a a a current student at Queen’s University Belfast studying BMus Music She is no stranger to the the stage as as she has performed in in in theatres from a a a a a a a a a a a a young age age taking part in in in in local productions musicals and concerts Her first ever public performance was in in in the the the An Grianan theatre in in in letterkenny at at the the the the age of 9 accompanied by the the group Kintra She is trained in in in in musical theatre having achieved grades 2-8 and and her DipLCM diploma in in in in in performance by the age of 15 She is is is also a a a a a a a a a a a a guitarist and and violinist having achieved up to grade 7 in in in in in violin violin with Trinity College London She has played in in in in many many bars and and restaurants as as as well as as as singing at many many weddings ceremonies and and receptions across the country She has been backed by bands such as as the Ryan turner band band Keltic storm and and and and Country Harmony and and and has shared the stage with major Irish country singers such as as Mike Denver Johny Brady Michael English Susan Mc Cann and and many many more She has sang sang at many many festivals such as as Dergfest and and and sang sang on the BBC children and and need radio show November 2019 In the past she has taken part in in The Birds Nest ‘Sounds like Country’ competition having reached its final fin in 2 occasions She released her her debut album ‘Together you and I’ at at the the tender age of 16 featuring 5 cover songs from different genres She had her album launch at at at at Killeter Fair supported by The Senators band Jamie has released singles since such as as as ‘Drinking with Dolly’ and ‘Catfish John’ Her single single ‘Soapbox’ reached number one in in in in in the Irish Country Music Charts within hours of its release and her music is getting world wide radio play She is is currently working on her newest album album ‘The Country in in in in Me’ which is is a a a a a a a a 12 piece album album featuring a a a a a a mixture of cover and original tracks Publisher’s note: We had the extreme pleasure of an an interview with Jamie not not too long ago and found her her her to to be as as delightful personnelly as as her her her voice when she sings Download her her her her music music and visit her her her her website at: https://jamiedonnellymusic com 45
