Welcome to issue # 11 our November edition.
Wow been kind of a rough month with computer situations causing us to be late for this month’s issue. Thanks for being patient while we went through this nightmare.
Indie Music Monday has been a great success in that it has been broadcast each Monday for the last few weeks playing all submissions sent in an approved for playing on Radiodowntown.ca We get so many new tunes sent into us that is takes a complete day (Tuesday) to go over all the submissions we get in the space of a week. So please be patient if you don’t happen to hear your recently sent in tune as we always seem to be playing catch-up in giving them a listen before playing on air.
Another recent success we are proud to share is that we are now accepting co-hosts on some of our shows as a live event. Wallace Mair, Rosalie Drysdale, Aaron Halliday, Paul Jupe, Clive Wilson, Helena Mace, Sandra North and there are more scheduled over the next few weeks.
All the artists have expressed how much they enjoyed being on the show live as a co-host. We play at least 6 of their tunes during the show and they get to tell us all about those tunes and where people can download them etc. A fun time is had by all.
To co-host all you need is a skype account. Contact us if this interests you.
We are coming up to the holiday season and radiodowntown usually starts playing Christmas tunes starting in December. However, we do not play Christmas Music 24/7 but every 5 or 6 tunes a Christmas tune is inserted.
For December we still want to come out around December 1st so please send in your submissions as soon as you can.
