Publisher’s Notes
Welcome to issue # 12 our May 2022 edition.
Events are coming back to many of our performers and I wish I had about 10 pages to tell you all what has happened since our last issue back in November 2021, but I don’t think anyone would read that much.
To summarize, we did a revamp of the magazine more in content as apposed to design. You will notice a new concept on our cover. We are very fortunate to have Debbie Walke Macdonald now responsible for our covers for the next year.
Debbie has shown us in many of her photos and her amazing talent for photography. Debbie has agreed to the challenge to have a cover that simply depicts music, which is what this on- line magazine is really all about. I have already seen some of her upcoming covers and all i can say is WOW!
As for the rest of the magazine, one of the major changes is that we focus so much on Independent Artists here at the station we thought we should enhance the focus right into the magazine. So if you are an indie artist and you are now on our rotation, and you have sent in enough information, chances are you have a posting here in the magazine. We hope that by doing this for independent artists we are helping you get your name out there.
For those that been a long time artist played on Radiodowntown. ca we have also included you in the magazine. Keep in mind we can only put in what you supply us, so if you do not see an area for you in the magazine, please send off to Julia@radiodowntown.ca
We moved studio locations back in January and took us quite a wile to get up and running to our satisfaction, but I believe we are finally there so next was the magazine, we hope you like the changes and will participate in upcoming issues.

Special Note for Independent Artists....
We sincerely want to assist you in you getting your music and info out to the masses. And to help do that we offer a lot more than most. You can come on one of our shows as a co-host for
a one or two hour program as many have already done, just ask Wallace Mair, Rosalie Drysdale, Paul Jupe, Wylie Harold and many more. This helps to promote you and your music.
The only requirements are that you have Skype loaded on to a computer, send in a minimum of 5 tunes and be available for a one or two hour show.
If you have any more questions, you can contact us at new@radiodowntown.ca and you can also visit Radiodowntown.ca and click on New Artist.
