MR. JOSEPH L. HARRIS
The Homegoing Celebration for our beloved husband and fa- ther, Mr. Joseph L. Harris, 80, a native of Tampa, who passed away on Tuesday, June 14, 2016 was held on Thursday, June 23rd, 12 p. m. at Aikens Funeral Home Chapel, 2708 E. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., Rev. Michael Neely, officiating. The interment will be in Florida Na- tional Cemetery.
He spent most of his life in Tampa after serving as an officer in the United States Army. He graduated from Florida A&M University and the University of South Florida. He worked as a math teacher in the Hillsbor- ough County School System and retired from Tampa General Hospital as EOE officer.
Joe leaves to cherish his memory: a loving wife, Mrs. Daiezell Harris, two children, Howard and Robin Harris; 6 grandchildren, Howard, II, Christopher, Jasmin and Justin Harris, Adreauna Ratcliff and Hailey Harris, 3 great-grandchil- dren, Eulalia, Imani and Joi Harris; and a host of relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Taylor; father, Larry Harris; daughter, Kimerly Harris, 4 brothers and 1 sister.
The visitation was held 1 hour before the service. The family is requesting no flowers or gifts but, if you are so inclined, please consider contributing to your fa- vorite charity.

MRS. LULA MAE CLARK
Visitation for Mrs. Lula Mae Clark, who passed on June 16, 2016, will be on Friday, June 24, 2016, 5-8 p. m. at Gudes Fu- neral Home, 4050 E. Hillsbor- ough Ave., Tampa (33610). The graveside service will be on Sat- urday, June 25, 2016 at 10 a. m. at Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Lula Mae Clark, daugh- ter of the late Willie Bryant and the late Mary D. Lynn (Norton Lynn), was born February 14, 1937 in Clayton, Alabama.
At an early age, Lula Mae, “Sister,” as she was referred to by her siblings, became some- what of a second mother to her younger brothers and sisters. She could always be counted on to care for them and help them solve their childish problems. Everyone relied on “Sister.”
When she was 15, Lula Mae moved with her family to Ha- vana, Florida where she later met and married Wilber Clark who preceded her in death.
Seeking better employment opportunities, Lula Mae relo- cated to Tampa where she worked for a short time as a CNA until her health failed. She met the love of her life Eugene Brewer with whom she shared a wonderful relationship until he preceded her in death.
Lula Mae’s passion was feed- ing her family. Just let her know you were coming for a visit and you could count on every pot in her kitchen being filled with something delicious. Her favorite pastime was her annual trips to Havana for the family’s Labor Day cookout. She loved and enjoyed spend- ing time with her family.
Lula Mae leaves to cherish her loving memory: five chil- dren and one stepson: Joann Beaton, Wilber Michael Clark, Sr., Judy Nelson (Carl), An- thony Bell, all of Tampa, Ronald Clark of Louisiana and Thomas Brewer of Tampa; 12 grandchildren and 1 god-grand- son, Kelvin, Rashida, Latashia, Keron, Michael, Joanna, Tashika, Andricka (Penny), Quana (Lady), Vondrick, Cha- sity, Dieon and Wilber, Jr. pre- ceded her in death; a god grandson, Charles Jones and granddaughter, Rene Brown; 4 brothers, Robert Lynn (Anna), Val Lynn of Havana, Leonard Lynn (Veronica) of Tampa, and John Lynn of Detroit, MI; 6 sis- ters, Mary Hunter (William) of Orlando, Winnie Jones of Tal- lahassee, Annie Doris Yancey (Willie) of Atlanta, GA, Irene Green (Tim) of Quincy, Pauline Williams of Norwich, CT and Lalar Houston of Chicago, IL; a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Her special friends were: Edna Boone and Ange- line Green. She was prede- ceased by her siblings, Joe Willie, Nancy, James Ernest, Flora and James L.

Homegoing Celebration for Mrs. Joann Bradford Carter of Tampa, who passed away on Wednesday, June 15, 2016, will be held on Saturday, June 25th, 2 p. m. at Allen Temple A. M. E. Church, 2101 Lowe Street, Rev. Dr. David W. Green, Sr., pastor, officiating. The interment will be in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery.
Joann was born on November 4, 1936 in Tampa. She was a member of Allen Temple AME Church and was a member of the usher board for over 20 years. She enjoyed cooking and caring for her family.
Joann was preceded in death by: her husband, John Henry Carter; mother, Annie Lee Brad- ford; father, Joseph “Wilford” Bradford; sister, Mary Bradford- Williams; brother, Wilford Bradford, Sr.; sister-in-law, Annie Lou Carter-Smith and brother-in-law, Ernest Carter.
She leaves to cherish her mem- ories with her daughter, Annie L. Carter Shaw; grandchildren, Meshika Edwards-Townes and Naguai Edwards; great grand- children, Jontae Jenkins and TyRe-Onna Williams; great- great grandchild, Tyrin Cherry, Jr; other relatives and special friends; a special and loving nephew, Wilford Bradford, Jr.; a special friend, Rev. Evelyn Moore, The Allen Temple AME Church family and a host of other relatives and friends.

Gloria was a member of First Baptist Church of College Hill and served on the Women’s Planning Council, Jolly Seniors Ministry and Eagle Huggins Min- istry. She enjoyed shopping, working at the church and spending time with friends.
