Local Artist Releases Free Album

During the height of the hip hop era you could find recording studios every- where, including in converted garages and bedrooms.
It was during this era that Samuel Hines first started using the stage name De-Ice. He put together what he thought was a great team of people, in- cluding his mother, Gloria Hines, who acted as his manager.
“I grew up in a house that was full of music all the time. My mother pro- moted a lot of Gospel and R&B Shows, and she was very active in the enter- tainment industry.
“When I decided to go out and test the waters for myself, I was naïve at first, but I learned quickly how down and dirty this industry can be.”
Hines reinvented himself several times, and now he’s finally found solid ground as Boi Durty.
Boi Durty has been working very hard in the recording studio, and on Friday he released his first completed album.
“We want to give back to our sup- porters by allowing them to download the album at no charge.
“I spent three months putting the final touches on this release, and DJ Trans has helped me promote this
disappointments on your journey, and if you’re really serious about being suc- cessful, you will learn from them and get stronger. You have to leave the stu- pid stuff behind and move forward.”
Boi Durty said he’s surrounded himself with a great group of people, and he’s also landed an opportunity to appear on the popular show, “Empire.”
“Make sure you always show love to the people who came before you. They are the reason you are where you are now, and if you read their stories, you’ll see the price they all had to pay to be successful.
