R. Kelly’s Sales Jump 500 Percent After Guilty Verdict
Former Basketball Wives LA star Brittish “Cierra” Williams has been indicted on 18 charges by the federal government.
On September 22, Brittish was charged with “five felony charges of misuse of a social security number, four charges of bank fraud, three charges of making false statements to the IRS, three charges of wire fraud, and three charges of aggravated identity theft.”
The former reality star was taken into federal custody on Thursday. She pleaded not guilty in the United States District Court Eastern District of Missouri.
The alleged fraud happened over a span of two years. Court docs revealed the vari-

ous types of fraud Brittish allegedly committed, includ- ing, utilizing fraudulent social security numbers to apply for lines of credit and secure
loans in 2017. In 2018 and 2019, she deposited four checks ranging from $4,500 – $5,800 into accounts that she accessed and withdrew the money before the checks re- turned and before the finan- cial institution became aware of the bogus checks.
The couture-designer-wear- ing hustler is also accused of making up additional depend- ents on her taxes for 2017- 2019– including using fake names and social security numbers.
Her attorney Jason Ko- rner said the charges are un- founded, and she is being “targeted because of her celebrity, and I expect that to be clear once the evidence is produced.”
   R. Kelly’s streams are going up in the wake of his guilty verdict.
The embattled singer’s album sales have increased 517 percent since a New York jury convicted him on federal racket- eering and sex trafficking charges. According to Rolling Stone, Kelly’s music saw dou- ble-digit growth in streams and a triple-digit growth in sales.
In the week following his guilty verdict on Sept. 27, his on-de- mand audio streams were up 22 percent, while video streams were up 23 percent compared to the previous seven days. Over- all, his streams soared from 11.2 million to 13.4 million.

Nick Cannon Credits Kid ‘N Play For His Success
Nick Cannon has been the butt of many jokes in Hip Hop, but the Wild ‘N Out creator can acknowledge who paved the way for individuals like him.
During an episode of his Nick Cannon talk show on Wednes- day (October 6), Cannon hon- ored guests and ’80s/early ’90s Hip Hop legends Kid ‘N Play, championing the two as pio- neers for transitioning from music to film and beyond.
“This is one of the most excit- ing moments for me in my ca- reer because ... I’ve told you guys this in private, but if it was- n’t for y’all there would be no me,” Cannon told the duo. “A kid growing up in the hood, in the project but seeing somebody

that didn’t necessarily have to always be promoting or perpet- uating violence in their music. Even though I love all of the hardcore stuff ... you guys made me smile, you guys made me dance.”
