The American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network (ACS CAN) is hosting a policy forum focusing on research and clinical tri- als on Wednesday, September 21 from 8 to 10 a. m. (registration is at 7:30 a. m.) to raise awareness about clinical trials research in Florida and develop strategies for recruiting more diverse partici- pants.
The forum, which will take place at the Moffitt Cancer Center’s Vincent A. Stabile Research Building, 12902 Magnolia Dr., Tampa, will feature representatives from cancer centers in Tampa, Miami, Gainesville and Jacksonville as well as State Representative James Grant (District 64).
Panel discussions will be moderated by Dr. Thomas Sellers from Moffitt Cancer Center and Dr. Danial Armstrong from Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center in Miami.
“The purpose of our forum is to bring together experts in our state to learn about the current state of clinical trials research in Florida,” said Heather Youmans, senior director for advocacy for ACS CAN in Florida. “We want to identify possible approaches states like Florida can consider from a policy perspective to help en- sure access to clinical trials for anyone who might be interested.”

Living Free Of Unforgiveness
Lord, I pray that You would enable (name of child) to live in ongoing forgiveness. Teach him (her) the depth of your forgiveness toward him (her) so that he (she) can be freely forgiving toward others. Help him (her) to make the decision to forgive based on what You’ve asked us to do and not on what feels good at the moment. May he (she) understand that forgiveness doesn’t justify the other person’s actions; instead, it makes him know the whole story about any of us, and that’s why he (she) does- n’t have the right to judge. Teach him (her) to release the past to You so that he (she) can move into all that You have for him (her).
Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, and evil speaking be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one an- other, even as God in Christ forgave you. EPHESIANS 4:31-32
