  DMX To Be Honored In Hometown, Yonkers, New York, Mayor Suggests
LeBron James, Adrian Peterson Pay Tribute To DMX, 'Hip Hop Icon Like No Other, RIP'

DMX made a huge impact on athletes around the world - - many of whom are paying tribute to the rapper in the wake of his death Friday morn- ing.
NFL star Adrian Peterson posted, "A Hip hop icon like no other. RIP."
LeBron James paid trib- ute by playing X's music on his IG page -- including the smash hit "Slippin'."
He also tweeted, "X 4L!! Rest In Paradise LEGEND!!"
NBA star Jamal Crawford added, "DMX gave hope to the hopeless ... RIP legend."

 DMX could soon have a statue or a street named after him in his hometown ... but first, the city of Yonkers, NY is wel- coming the late rapper's family to hold his memorial service there, if they so choose.
A source close to X's family tells us there will be both a pri- vate and public memorial, and a meeting Monday to work to fi-
nalize possible plans, but Mayor Mike Spano tells TMZ ... he's in favor of DMX's family holding the memorial service at Yonkers Raceway, the city's largest outdoor venue, and wants to help make it happen.
Spano says X's hometown wants to ease the burden on his family, and the door is wide open.
DMX Was Smiling And Jamming To Michael Jackson in Final Video Before Death
The last known video of DMX, published just days be- fore his death, shows the rap- per enjoying Michael Jackson's vocals in the car with his fiancee, Desiree Lindstrom. She published the video on March 30, days before DMX suffered a heart attack on April 2. The "Party Up (Up In Here)" rapper died a week later, his family con- firmed Friday morning. DMX

In the video Lindstrom published, DMX is shown singing along to "This Place Hotel (Heartbreak Hotel)," the single featured on The Jack- sons' 1980 album Triumph. "He talking about record us rocking lol he too funny!!!" Lindstrom wrote in the cap- tion. Lindstrom also posted a photo with DMX on March 27. "My fiance! I love u," she sim- ply wrote in the caption.
    Prince Album To Be Released On July 30
A previously unreleased Prince album will be unveiled on July 30.
The 'Purple Rain' hitmaker's estate has announced that there will be new music from the legendary singer - who passed away in April 2016 at the age of 57 - in the shape of a new LP, 'Welcome 2 America'.
The title track of the same name is available on streaming platforms as of now, where he sings about people being ad- dicted to their smartphones, the state of education across the U. S. and the country's taxes.
After he had originally com- pleted the 'Welcome 2 Amer- ica' album, Prince headed on a tour of the same name, where he performed across the U. S. at a number of huge venues in- cluding The Forum in Califor- nia.
The deluxe edition of the re- lease features the album on

 both CD and black vinyl, whilst fans can also digitally down- load a hi-res copy and they can also watch the never-before- released full concert video from Prince's April 2011 show at The Forum. There will be two special versions - gold vinyl available from the official Prince store and clear vinyl from Target.
