Police Investigate Deadly Shooting
4000 block of W. Ohio Avenue

13-Year-Old Charged
Detectives are currently investigating a fatal shooting. The incident took place early Tuesday in the 4000 block of W. Ohio Avenue Interbay.
According to the Tampa Police Department, officers responded to the location in reference to a shooting, at 12:38 a.m. When they arrived at the location, they discov-
ered that a 48-year-old man had suffered a gunshot wound. He died at the scene inside the residence.
Detectives are continuing their investigation, but said it does not appear to be a ran- dom act.
No additional informa- tion was available at press time.
Detectives are investigat- ing the death of a man whose body was found on the side of the road. The man’s body was discovered near 3500 County Road 579.
According to the Hillsbor- ough County Sheriff’s Office, a passerby driver discovered the body and notified police. The victim is described as a Hispanic man, believed to be in his early 20s to early 30s. The victim appeared to have suffered from upper body trauma. No additional infor- mation was available at press time.

A 13-year-old boy has been charged in connection with the death of his grand- mother. The incident took place early Monday, in St. Pe- tersburg.
According to the St. Pe- tersburg Police Department, officers were dispatched to 634 60th Av- enue, South around 3:30 a.m., in reference to a woman needing assistance.
When the officers arrived, they discovered 56-year-old Gloria Davis dead. Ms. Davis had been stabbed sev- eral times.
During the course of the investigation, police deter- mined there was enough evi- dence to charge her

Woman’s Body Found In Trunk Of Boyfriend’s Car
The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office is investigat- ing a shooting that left a teenager injured. The inci- dent took place in the 14000 block of Renfro, in Dover.
According to police, the shooting occurred at the resi-
dence of the 14-year-old vic- tim. He was transported to a local hospital, where he was treated for non-life threaten- ing injuries.
No arrests have been made. The investigation is continuing.

A 22-year-old man was ar- rested after being involved in a fight outside a bowling alley. The fight left another man dead.
According to the Hillsbor- ough County Sheriff’s Office, the fight involving Jose Vasquez, Jr., and another man took place on November 10th outside the Brandon Crossroads Bowling Alley, 609 Crater Lane.
During the fight, the vic- tim struck his head at least twice on the pavement. When deputies arrived, Vasquez provided them with a false name and fled the scene.
The victim was trans- ported to Tampa General Hospital in critical condition. He died on November 16th, as a result of his injuries.
JOSE VASQUEZ, JR.
Vasquez was arrested on November 13th and charged with felony battery and pro- viding a false name to law en- forcement. The charge was upgraded to manslaughter on Monday. He is currently being held without bond at the Hillsborough County Jail.
Police have arrested a 57- year-old man and charged him in connection with the death of his girlfriend. The woman’s body was discovered in the trunk of a car last week.
According to the St. Peters- burg Police Department, friends of Ms. Sophie Solis became concerned about her welfare. They went to her home at 7380 Organdy Dr., North, in St. Petersburg, and discovered her body in the trunk of a car belonging to her boyfriend, Warren Brown, that was parked in the drive- way.
The investigation led po- lice to arrest Brown and charged him with second–de- gree murder.
Police said the 43-year-old woman had been stabbed. They also found photographs of the couple and bloody clothing in the trunk.
Police further said the cou- ple had a history of domestic violence.
