AIKENS
MR. HERBERT ERVIN
A Homegoing Celebration for Mr. Herbert Ervin of Tampa, Florida, who passed away on Sat- urday, September 26, 2020, will be held Thursday, October 1st, 11:00 a.m. at Aikens Funeral Home, 2708 E. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., Min. Aaron Hobley, officiating. The interment will be held in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery.
Herbert Ervin was born to the late Rev. Samuel Ervin, Sr., and Estella Ervin. He was a lifelong resident of Tampa and was a grad- uate of Howard W. Blake Class of 1961.
He gave his life to God at an early age. He was a longtime member of New Bethel Mission- ary Baptist Church, under the leadership of the late Rev. L. R. Stancil.
After High School, he enlisted in the United States Army and served in the Vietnam War. He was employed by GAF Roofing Corporation, retiring after over 50 years of service.
He loved reading his Bible, which he did daily on his front porch. He enjoyed fishing, race car driving and restoring vintage cars. He was a skilled mechanic that started working at a Judge’s neighborhood garage fixing adult’s cars as a teen.
He was a “master” griller and had the best bar-b-que in town, ac- cording to those who have ever tasted it.
He departed this life on Sep- tember 26, quietly and peacefully. Herbert was preceded in death by: his parents; son, Her- bert Lamar Ervin; brother, Samuel L. Ervin Jr.; sisters, Lila Joyce McCardy and Mattie Ervin;
and niece, Sandra Ervin.
He leaves to cherish his spe-
cial memories and moments with: his daughter, Yolanda Maria Ervin; sister, Lee Etta Love of Co- lumbia, South Carolina; sister-in- law, Esther Ervin of Tampa, Florida; nephews, Lt. Col. (Ret) Robert Love and Rodney Love, both of Columbia, South Carolina; nieces, Torya Powell of Marlboro, Maryland and Cynthia Ervin of Tampa, Florida; devoted god- daughter, Marquisha Wynn; a special thank you to his devoted and best friends, Aaron Hobley and Marquis Wynn, who were like sons to him; the neighbors of Elm Street, Henry and Arlie Paige, Al, Charles, Irving and Louise Ward and Stephanie, you all truly live up to the command; Love Thy neigh- bor.
The visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. We are following the CDC guidelines.

A Homegoing Service for Mr. Johnny Hubbert of Tampa, Florida, who passed away on Sunday, September 20, 2020, will be held on Saturday, Octo- ber 3rd, 10 a. m. at Grace Family Church, 4479 W. Gandy Blvd., Pastor Mike Ash; Pastor Cecil Hubbert, officiating.
Johnny was born April 14, 1997 in Tampa, Florida, and at- tended the schools of Hillsbor- ough County. He enjoyed gaming and spending time with his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by: bother, Tevin Bonner, great- great grandmother, Christine Love, grandparents, Charles Hubbert, Sr., and Johnnie Mae West.

DEACON DONALD MARSHALL
A Celebration of Life Service for Deacon Donald Marshall of Tampa, Florida, who passed away on Friday, September 25, 2020, will be held on Saturday, October 3rd, 10 a. m. at Aikens Funeral Home, 2708 E. Dr. Mar- tin Luther King, Jr. Blvd., Pastor W. D. Sims of St. Matthew M. B. Church, officiating. The inter- ment will be in Rest Haven Me- morial Park Cemetery.
Deacon Donald Marshall, Jr., was born November 25, 1933 to the late Donald Marshall, Sr. and the late Siller Marshall in Tampa. FL. He was the oldest of 3 siblings born to that union. He was educated in the School Dis- trict of Hillsborough County, graduating from Don Thompson Vocational High School, now known as Howard W. Blake Sen- ior High School. While attend- ing Don Thompson Vocational High School, he developed an in- terest in auto mechanics that shaped his future career. He was employed as a mechanic for C. E. Kelly Auto Sales and retired after over forty years of service. He had a desire to explore an in- terest in accounting, and en- rolled in the University of South Florida and took classes in that major. He also had a zealous passion for working on cars and fishing. In his later years, he took great pleasure in spending time with family and friends
while sitting on his front porch. Deacon Donald Marshall, Jr. confessed Jesus Christ as his personal Savior and the belief, trust, and faith he received was evident in the way he lived his life. Over 50 years ago, Deacon Marshall became a diligent, loyal, and faithful member and servant of St. Matthew Mission- ary Baptist Church, until his health failed to the point that he could no longer serve or attend as he so desired. However, his love for his church never ceased. Deacon Marshall was an astute Bible teacher and displayed a vast range of knowledge of the Word of God which was evident in the way he taught the various Bible classes and studies that
were assigned to him.
Deacon Marshall was pre-
ceded in death by: his parents, Donald and Siller Marshall; son, Anthony Marshall; sister, Geor- gia Green; brother, Robert Gam- brell; aunt, Georgia Smith and granddaughter, Erin Marshall.
Those left behind to cherish fond memories of him are: chil- dren, Bernard Marshall, Tampa, Donald Marshall, III (Andrea), Atlanta, GA, Curtis Marshall (Frediths) Tampa, Linda Lyles, Tampa, John Marshall (Sarah), Tampa and Brenda Buster, Tampa; 1st wife and mother of his 7 children, Maudie Marshall, Tampa; grandchildren, Donald, lV, Michael, Ashley, Jordan, Aisha, Gabriella, Marlon, Kevin, Arnesjah, Nathan, Jeremiah, and Cedric; sisters, Lorene White, Tampa and Althamese Howard, Lakeland, FL; and a number of great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews; and the St. Matthew Missionary Baptist Church Family, including, Pastor W. D. Sims, the Deacon Staff, Sunday School Ministry and members and other relatives and friends.

MS. PATRICIA L. KING
On Monday, September 21, 2020, Ms. Patricia L. King, a lov- ing sister, aunt and great aunt, passed away at the age of 68.
She was born on January 8, 1952 in Tampa, Florida, to the late Theodore Brown and the late Naomi Brown. She received her degree fron Antioch Law School in Washington, D. C., and practiced the business of law for 30 years in Hillsborough County and surrounding coun- ties.
Patricia was dedicated to public interest advocacy. She advocated strongly for child protection, juvenile law and re- unification of families. She loved each and every one of her clients as family.
She had a passion for things green. She had a growing hand for flora and fauna. Green plants and colorful flowers could be found throughout her home. She often presented her beloved plants as gifts to friends and family.
Patricia was connoisseur of jazz music. It gave her great joy. She was known for her intelli- gence, quick wit, and ability to make others smile.
Patricia is preceded in death by: her mother, Naomi; father, Theodore; older brother, Lawrence and younger broth- ers, Jerry and Michael.
She is survived by, her sib- lings: brother, Reginald Dancil; and sisters, Dorothy Poole, Brenda Relford, Felicia Gilgeous and Carla Davis. She is also sur- vived by: a great number of lov- ing nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and a tremendous number of friends and colleagues.
The family is accepting flow- ers. Or in lieu of flowers, please make a tribute donation to the American Lung Cancer Associa- tion in her memory.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 2, 2020, at Blount and Curry Funeral Home, 4207 East Lake Ave., Tampa, FL (33610), 6-8 p. m.
The funeral service will be held at 11 a. m. on Saturday, Oc- tober 3, 2020, at the same loca- tion.
