Graduations are a time that bring families together. They unite to encourage the next generation to pursue their dreams and aspirations.
Some families may have one graduate while others may have multiple graduates in multiple cities. The An- drews family had made
plans to attend the gradua- tion ceremonies of all five of their scholars. However, COVID-19 changed their plans. But, it has not damp- ened the pride they feel for each graduate.
This year, Mrs. Gloria Adams Andrews, matri- arch of the family, has five grandchildren celebrating their respective accomplish- ments.
Locally, 18-year-old Adam Andrews has com- pleted all requirements for graduation at Middleton High School. Adam was chosen as the Salutatorian of Tradi- tional Studies with a 3.6 grade point average.
During his tenure at the school, Adam was a member of Men of Vision, Inc., and enjoyed playing basketball. His goal is to attend the Uni-
versity of Central Florida and major in Physical Therapy.

They are also the grandsons of Mrs. Bev- erly Sherman, the late Mr. C. Blythe Andrews, Jr., and the late Attorney Ken- neth Collins.
Max was a member of the Soccer team, Co-Presi- dent of the Amnesty Club, a member of the Chinese Club, and Model UN. Armed with a 3.7 grade point average, he plans to continue his educa- tion at the University of Cali- fornia at Davis.
Miles, who also carries a grade point average of 3.7, plans to attend the University of California at Riverside.
While in school, he was the Co-President of the Amnesty Club, a member of the Chi- nese Club, and Model UN. Miles was also voted “Best
Artist” while at Pulaski Acad- emy.
In May 2020, Dr. Do- minique Blanchette earned her P.h.D., in Psychol- ogy from Old Dominion Uni- versity in Norfolk, Virginia.
She is the daughter of Dr. Ronald Blanchette and Dr. Susan Andrews Blanchette, both of Sacra- mento, California.
Dr. Blanchette is the granddaughter of Mrs. Glo- ria Blanchette, the late Mr. C. Blythe Andrews, Jr., and the late Mr. Tom Blanchette, of Sacramento, California.
The family welcomed an- other “Dr.” in the family when Dr. Gabrielle Blanchette received her Doctorate in Physical Therapy. She gradu- ated from the University of Southern California, Los An- geles, California, in May of this year.
She is also the daughter of
Dr.
