Five Arrested For Vehicle Burglaries
Sentenced To Prison

Last Friday, a judge sen- tenced a former Hillsborough County Substitute Teacher to more than 2 years in prison. He pleaded guilty to transmit- ting harmful material to a minor.
Last year, Samuel Bul- lock, Jr., was arrested after he exchanged text messages with a 14-year-old student at Riverview High School. He reportedly sent the teenager nude photographs of himself.
Prosecutors were seeking a sentence of 5 years in prison for Bullock. However, Judge Kimberly Fernan- dez handed down a sentence of 2 years and 5 months. The

Suspect Sought For Pulling Gun On Police

A traffic stop was con- ducted at 50th Street and Adamo Drive, where Cray Austin, 15; Emonte Bent- ley, 19; Antonio Robinson, 19; Bernard Parker, 18, and Christopher Brown, 18, were arrested.
Deputies reported finding several stolen items, includ- ing two handguns, a shotgun, and money.
Detectives were able to identify 7 additional vehicle burglaries the suspects had allegedly committed.
One suspect is in custody, and a second is being sought after police said one of them pointed a gun at an officer.
Last Thursday at 9:30 a. m., officers responded to a call of shots fired at 9415 North Mulberry Avenue.
When units arrived, the suspects fled the area on foot. As Sgt. John Miller moved towards the suspects, one of them turned and al- legedly pointed a gun at Miller. Both suspects con-
tinued to flee on foot.

the side of the house, he could see one of the suspects, 17-year-old Leo Butler, moved behind a house at 1415 East Annie Street.

Tampa Police said on July 21st, the power to the Rain- bow Food Mart, 4206 Chelsea Street, had been turned off due to non-payment, result- ing in the store closing for business.
The loss of power to the store also disabled their sur- veillance and alarm system.
Police said the owners checked on the property at 11 p.m. Friday, and all was se- cure. The owners also al- legedly said people in the area were aware the power was out, because they had to turn customers away.
When the business was checked Saturday morning, they found the rear door pried open, and several thousand dollars worth of merchandise was stolen from inside.

Argument Ends In Shooting
Tampa Police had to use a taser on a 20-year-old man who was so focused on play- ing Pokemon Go, he refused to leave Ballast Point Park.
Police said about 150 peo- ple were in the park after it closed last Thursday. Neigh- bors complained about how many still were there at 10:30 p.m. When officers arrived, they asked the people to leave.
Officers said the crowd complied, with the exception of David T. Mastrototaro- Baermude.
He now faces charges of resisting arrest and trespass- ing.
St. Petersburg Police re- port that a man underwent surgery after he was shot during an argument Sunday.
A 4 a.m., police said two men were arguing at a home, 8201 36th Avenue, North, when the shooting occurred,
injuring one of the men. He was hospitalized for surgery, and no information was re- leased on his condition.
Police did not release the names of anyone involved and have not made an ar- rest.
Murder Suspect Surrenders To Police
St. Petersburg Police report that on July 23rd just after 10 a. m., wanted suspect, Tau- rus Randall Frederick, 36, walked into the St. Petersburg Police Department to turn himself in for the first-degree murder of Jeron Anthony Davis.
On June 20th at 1 p.m. at 22nd Avenue, South and MLK, Jr. Street, South, detectives said Frederick and Davis were involved in an argu- ment.
Detectives said Frederick followed Davis in a car and then ran him over. Freder- ick reportedly abandoned the car and ran on foot from the
