  Deadpol 2 - Mutant mercenary Deadpool- Wade Wilson( Ryan Reynolds) brings together a team of hand-picked mutant warriors (Zazie Beetz, Brad Pitt, Terry Crews} to protect a young boy of su- pernatural powers ( Julian Dennison) from the time-traveling killing machine Cable (Josh Brolin). Action-packed, violent, with plenty of quick wit humor. Must- see for action fans. Enjoyed it! No. 1 at box office- $137M-U.S./ Foreign- $174M-(budget-$110M)- ****
Break In - A woman (Gabrielle Union Wade) fights to protect kids (Ajiona Alexus, Seth Carr) during a home invasion (Bill Burke). Produced by St. Pete native Will Packer (Think Like A Man, Girls Trip) and directed by James McTeigue, this thriller jumped right into the action. Gabrielle did a great job making this film believable. Must see for action, thriller fans. 1hr./28mins. Made- 29M (budget- $$6M)- ****
Avengers: Infinity War - The Avengers and their allies ( Ironman- Robert Downey, Jr., Thor- Chris Hemsworth, Hulk- Mark Ruffalo, Captain America- Chris Evans, Doctor Strange- Benedict Cumberbatch, Black Widow- Scarlett Johansson, Vision- Paul Bettany, Scarlet Witch-Elizabeth Olsen, Black Panther- Chadwick Boseman, War Machine- Don Cheadle, Star Lord-Chris Pratt, Gamora-Zoe Saldana, Drax- Dave Bautista, Rocket(voice) Bradley Cooper, Groot(voice) Vin Diesel, Spider-Man- Tom Holland, Falcon- Anthony Mackie and Winter Soldier- Sebastian Stan) must come together in order to defeat the most powerful Marvel villian of all, Thanos(Josh Brolin). The brutal Thanos is seeking the infinity stones to destroy all of mankind and the Universe. Directors Anthony and Joe Russo put together the most violent Marvel film of all. Must-see for Marvel fans. Will break all of the box office records. 2hrs/30mins long. Still No. 1 at box office- $598M-U.S/ $1.2B-foreign- (budgetN/A)- Amazing on how they brought everything together for a Part 2. Classic
Traffik (2018) - A couple (Paula Patton, Omar Epps) and friends (Laz Alonso, Roselyn Sanchez) set out for a romantic weekend in the mountains are accosted by a ruthless biker gang. Alone in the mountains, the couple must do whatever it take to survive the biker gang. Every woman in America needs to see this film. Producer Paula Patton stated she had to bring light to this $160 Billion human/sex trafficking industry. Must-see for women and parents who have daughters. Made $8M- (budget-N/A)- ****great job Paula!
Rampage (2018) - When three different animals (gorilla, wolf, alligator) become infected with a dangerous drug, a primatologist (Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson) and a geneticist ( Naomie Harris) team up to stop the vicious animals from destroying Chicago. Surprisingly, very good and action- packed. Might be too violent for little kids. Made - $92M- U.S./ $314M- foreign- (budget- $120M)- ****
A Quiet Place (2018) - A cautious family (Emily Blunt, John Krasinski) is forced to livee in si- lence while hiding from creatures that kill by sound. Star/ Director John Krasinkski and his real life wife Emily Blunt deliver on this original concept drama/ horror thriller. Must-see for originality and drama. Made -$176M- U.S./ foreign- $120M -(budget- $17M)- four out of four stars.
Tyler Perry’s Acrimony - A faithful wife (Taraji Henson), tired of standing by her devious/cheating husband (Lyrie Bent), gets busy when she has been betrayed. Director Tyler Perry takes this film to the Fatal Attraction extreme. Made $42M (budget-N/A)- ***1/2
Black Panther - African-American director Ryan Coogler has made the first Marvel film that should win an Oscar for Best Picture, screenwriters, male actor (Chadwick Boseman) and supporting actor (Michael B. Jordan). Yeah, I'm the first to say it! Boseman (Black Panther) is T'Challa, the King of Wakanda, must protect his isolated, technologically advanced African nation from villains Erik Killmonger (Jordan), Ulysses Klaue (Andy Serkis- played Caesar-Ape and Gollum-Lord Of the Rings), Tribe Leader M'Baku (Winston Duke) and W'Kabi (Daniel Kaluuya- Get Out). With the support of his tech wiz little sister, Shuri (Letitia Wright), female general, Okoye (Danui Gurira), friend, Nakia(Lupita Nyong'o), CIA agent, Everett Ross (Martin Freeman), Mother, (Angela Bassett) and Zuri (Forest Whitaker), T'Challa (Black Panther) will need all the help to stop the villians and fight to the death for his nation. This was a well-written story by director Ryan Coogler and Joe Robert Cole. Black Panther smashed the box office by bringing in $192 million in three days and becoming the fifth biggest opening of all time. All hail the King! Made - $697 million U. S. / foreign- $646 mil- lion (budget-$200M)- excellent- ***** classic
